How the Cost Compares to the U.S.

In the United States, hernia repair without insurance typically runs from around six thousand dollars at a surgery center to nearly nineteen thousand at a hospital for larger or recurrent repairs. Our all-inclusive packages start far below the U.S. average.

U.S. — without insurance
$6,500 – $19,000
National average ≈ $7,000 (2026). Complex, recurrent or hospital-billed repairs reach the high end.
Gastro Cirugía Avanzada
From $3,400

That's savings of up to 65% on expert, board-certified care.

How Long Will I Need to Stay?

Pricing FAQ

Are the prices really in U.S. dollars?
Yes. Every price on this page is in USD, so you can compare directly with U.S. quotes. Payment methods and details are confirmed with your coordinator.
Why does it say "from"?
Inguinal and ventral hernias in particular vary in size and complexity, which affects operating time and materials. The "from" price is your starting point; Dr. López confirms your exact quote after reviewing your imaging and history.
Is the hotel included in the price?
No. Hotel and flights are not included. Ground transportation and your patient coordinator are included, and your coordinator can recommend comfortable, convenient hotels near the hospital.
What does robotic surgery add to the cost?
Robotic (da Vinci) repair adds $6,000 USD to the listed laparoscopic price. It's reserved for cases where it offers a real advantage — Dr. López will advise you.
What if I have a complication?
Treatment of complications is not part of the surgical package. Optional coverage is available separately through GPS – Global Protective Solutions, an independent provider (we don't sell it or earn a commission). Ask your coordinator for details.
